From 2010 to 2012 I worked for Clarks shoes as a web designer. Over the course of my time there I worked in a small team on a gradual redesign of the websites visual design and user experience.
The good thing about working at Clarks was the constant data we got from the ecommerce team regarding different aspects of the sites performance. This made it much easier to discover what worked and what didn’t. This allowed us to make well informed design decisions on different elements throughout the sites UX to drive sales.
We used to also run email campaigns to a huge email database. We would A/B test our emails. We Discovered Long form editorial emails always out preformed short and sharp emails when seasonal sales were not on.
